The Telegraph Schools' Chess Championship is organised at Bubaneswar (Orissa),
Guwahati
(Assam), Jamshedpur (Jharkhand) and Kolkata (West Bengal). The Kolkata edition is the
final
phase where the first five from the other three editions take part. The Kolkata edition is
recognised as a FIDE rated event for the school children under 16 years/ class X.
